Best Closing Line? Discuss.
My candidate: "All right, Mr. De Mille, I'm ready for my closeup"
Bring it.
Bring it.
There is a good and bad side to living in a world where over 10,000 films are produced every year; there are plenty to choose from, but not enough time to see them all, let alone just the good ones. So, in the spirit of creating a movie-going community, this blog is created for us to post thoughts on recently viewed films and to recommend to others whether they are worth seeing or worth skipping. This is a blog for the discriminating cinephile.

Macho Man Randy Savavge against Jimmy Super Fly Snooka, 1984. Super Fly totally fell on his ass.

The discussion is not about the best pile-driver. Because clearly, it is Greg "The Anvil" Niehart.
OK, now I am seriously.
Some will be tempted to answer "Well, nobody's perfect" But they would be wrong, line and movie are overrated.
I will here debate on "This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship," but that isn't even the top line in that movie, let alone best closing line of all time.
"It's the stuff dreams are made of" I could see that.
But the answer? "I was cured, all right" It's memorable and carries important content for the film. It is not just a punch line to send us home, but embodies the whole point of the narrative, develops character, etc.
